Does working in Big 4 Audit for more than 2+ years basically pigeon-hole you into the Partner or Corporate career paths?

It’s clear we can’t test everyone that has COVID and I’ve seen posts that for every person tested, theres 5-10 that aren’t tested. Doesn’t that mean that 1/3 of the country has been infected at this point? What am I missing? Wouldn’t we reach herd immunity faster as things open up and testing ramps up?
