I work as a Solution Specialist (sales rep) at an Authorizer Verizon retailer. Phone/wireless sales is not something I want to do forever. I have 4 years mobile sales experience and 3 additional years of niche sales/ customer service experience. I’m feeling stuck and every career/job move fells it is a step backwards. Does anybody have any advice on how to power through this or what other routs I could go?

Newly barred attorney here of almost a year. Looking to maybe ditching the “traditional” attorney/bar licensure track and going into other areas where JD degrees/lawyers are preferred. Anyone have experience with this untraditional track?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

What is a reasonable pay increase + bonus? This will be my first pay increase. I make 70k and I will be starting my second year at big law (immigration). I had 2 years of prior experience before joining the firm. My manager rated me highest in all areas and mentioned she recommended me for promotion but it may not happen until next cycle since there are limited number of promotions to give. I will get a pay increase regardless so I want to negotiate in case I don’t get a “good” increase.

Struggling to get work at a free market firm after lateraling. I was very well liked at my prior firm and had high hours so really struggling to understand why folks don’t seem to want to come back to me with more work. I have 2+ years experience with Salesforce, before Salesforce I was a full-stack dev with some DevsOps experience. I worked for Finance Services and Oil & Gas companies.
