Hello everyone! How do you manage holiday pay when the holiday is on a Saturday/ Sunday. For example, if I have someone working on Christmas (Sunday), they should be paid 1.5 but what if they work on Monday as well?I know this might sound silly to some people but I’m covering for payroll for the holidays and I don’t want to mess up!

What’s a fair salary increase after a year of inflation?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

According to an article in LinkedIn new job postings are down for the first time in 9 months but still there over 10 million open jobs with only 5.9 million unemployed workers. Why is it that here I am unemployed over 4 months and still not one offer. Anyone got some positive vibes to send my way it would be appreciated! I’ve been in sales for over 20 years, b2c, b2b and account management as well as sales management. I’ve got great skills and enthusiasm to give to a great employer!

Hello! Will be receiving a $400 stipend from my new org for office setup. I currently have a 15” 2015 Pro, my husband has a Lenovo, I’ll be provided with a work laptop, we have a used office desk.

Any recommendations on what I should use the stipend for? Hubby was suggesting a printer because we don’t currently have one, but I feel like I don’t really print that much anymore and I’ll be working remotely.

Anyone here do HR for an organization with both union and non union employees? My organization is very small consisting of 8 union employees and 7 non union employees. I was warm and comfortable but still could not get any work done because things going on in the outside world are distracting. When I try to work, I feel like I can barely hold a thought in my mind before I get the “wait, what am I doing again?” feeling. Please help! I'm looking for writing terminology. At our agency, we are getting more into creative writing vs ... executional writing? Please help me find the right term. Creative means developing the big idea (concepting), writing scripts and headlines with flair, etc.) for an awareness "hook" and then the other camp, which includes brochures, one pagers, banner ads, sales sheets.
