I just had an employee tell me they are on the verge of quitting due to burnout- actually going to quit but was told to talk to HR for options (we don't have any in place). The manager wants to keep them as they are one of our best employees.

Any recommendations on how to help alleviate burnout when the cause is from customers rather than the company? Is it worth it to let the employee leave and spend months looking for a replacement causing more stress/burnout with others?

I am currently a HR Generalist for a small aerospace company, located in CA. I have been in a generalist role for a little over 4 years now and before that, I did recruiting/safety for about 3 years. I am now looking into getting my HR Certification, but am stuck in between the PHR-CA or the SHRM-CP. Does anyone have any recommendations they can give me?

Question for Tech / SaaS Sales reps… what are people seeing for pipeline adjustments with current market conditions? Some FANG companies doing layoffs… VC money tightening… are you seeing any difference in your sales pipeline? Still growing? shrinking? pushing?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I’ve been working as a digital strat manager for the past 5 yrs. Every yr I have been recommended for a promotion and have gone above and beyond what my job description calls for but the promotion hasn’t happened. I have a great team and I’m generally pretty happy. Recently, my coworker who has been there for the same time as me got promoted to Senior Manager and I, who returned to work in February after having my second baby didn’t. I can’t help but think that is because I’m a mom. Thoughts?

Let me start off by saying no judgement, I’m just looking for honest opinions. How do people here feel about a woman changing her name when she gets married? My gf is perfect in every way and I want to marry her, BUT the major issue I have is she said she doesn’t want to change her name to my last name... a potential deal breaker for me. I want my kids to have the same name as me and my wife... her argument is because she’s going to be a doctor she wants to keep the name on her diploma. AITA?
