Did you start to enjoy practicing law after you had a few years of experience under your belt? I’m a second year in IP litigation and I hate how stressful everyday feels. It’s not as fulfilling as I expected it to be so far. I keep trying to convince myself I’ll enjoy it more once I feel somewhat competent.

Bath & body works I absolutely love the work environment Bath & body works ! The company actually expresses how much they care about their associates.
As a first year associate, if my gut is telling me that I hate being an attorney, does that mean anything? As of now, my plan is to stick it out in biglaw for a few years to pay off my loans and then leave the profession altogether…no clue what I want to do after, but I really just hate the stress of being a lawyer…does anyone else feel similarly?
I went back to the office this month (3/4 days per week) and it’s been a positive experience. Plus it seems that some partners who are going in appreciated it.
But the office is a 15 min drive away for me. Some people need to commute an hour plus to be there. Will they be at a disadvantage if they actually try to take advantage of hybrid WFH in the future?

I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I am trying to move to Houston but I don’t want to move until I am confident I can obtain a position in the city before packing up and leaving.

How long after reporting a toxic work environment should I expect to hear back? I'm not really sure what to expect, can anyone shed some light on protocols when something like this happens in an organization?
California attorneys — I am having difficulty finding authority concerning the use of a rejected (partial) settlement offer to claim that a party failed to mitigate their damages. I.E. plaintiff could have mitigated if they accepted the (partial) settlement offer. Defendant offered to settle one claim (without affecting the others). Plaintiff rejected. The value of damages has increased over time and now defendant claims that plaintiff failed to mitigate because they did not accept the offer. TY

Maybe this is a weird one/I'm over analyzing but here goes:
I got back from NAPABA this week and have felt super inspired and motivated. One of the mid levels in my group (straight white guy) noticed I was in a good mood, even though I've been pulling crazy hours since I got back (we're on a bunch of the same deals). Basically he said "can you share some of that motivation w me? I need some" to which I sort of stumbled over a reply that danced around the fact that I mainly feel good bc NAPABA..
