Do you ever wish you didnt start your career in big law? To be honest, I feel like I didnt know any other paths to financially stability right out of law school. If you didnt start in Big Law, where did you start your career, how did you end up where you are now, did you reach financial stability? For context I live in the Bay Area where home prices are 1M+
A few months ago I took a job selling internet service. Primarily, I work in the field, where I can make all my sales, but I have been kinda dipping a toe into reaching out to property managers via email. So, i have been trying to write a BASHO email template and I am hitting a wall. It’s hard to personalize it as a lot of the people I reach out to have no social media or are super hard to find. Basically what I have is Intro->benefit statement(one sentence)->CTA. Any advice?
Question, I’ve been an AE for a few years now and I’m looking to switch paths from an account executive to a partnerships manager, seems like a better fit. anything I should know about the differences or the transition?
I legitimately do not understand the full windsor. Without exception, everyone I've ever faced in court wearing that shit has been a shitty, two-bit lawyer

I started a new job is in house counsel two weeks ago and I am working with legal assistant. Basically from my last two weeks being at this new job, I realized that she has had a year to do a job of organizing all the legal files etc. Except she has hardly done any of this… I’ve come to the conclusion that everything she said she’s working on from home is a lie I follow caught her lying about working on things by using the date modified. We have a huge transaction to finish and it requires
Hi all! Can anyone provide insight to pay range for a sales director for real estate? Roughly 60 agents. It would be helpful to know a base and OTE. Thanks I’m advance, happy to connect!
Has anyone transitioned from direct sales to indirect (channel, solutions consulting, etc.)? I’m an Enterprise AM currently (6+ years of total closing experience in SaaS) but looking to make a change sometime in the next 18-24 months. Certainly expecting to sacrifice financial upside but growing tired of the grind.
Sales management vs individual contributor debate. Open forum. I have 12+ years of individual contributor experience in tech under my belt and I’ve done well financially for myself. I got a job offer that is even higher in base and in a small up and coming cyber company with potential of expansion and promotions given its a startup. My current company just also offered me a RSM role with 6 reports. RSM role pays less as it shows now….tbc
Advice: 1st year associate at a midsized firm but small office (2 other attorneys). All of my work comes from them, but usually it’s not enough. I’ve grown tired of asking for work 3-4 times a week. They love my work and have told other people in the firm they wouldn’t be able to do what they’re doing without me. However, there’s days like today where I have NOTHING to do. Last time I asked for work it took older atty 30 mins to find a file... I have no billable min, I love my bosses conti
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
I had 2 interviews with two different managers. Can I send one thank you email and add them both to it? Or should I send a separate email to each?
The sunflowers have struggled with no rain for a week, but they are coming along pretty well!!!
Would love to hear how you all go about “training” or “onboarding” new PMs, especially to manage a project type that is new to them (and new to your company in general)? I.e., when there’s no existing process to follow. How much do you expect and/or help the PM to just figure it out?

How much time does coforge take to roll out offer after HR round? I talked to HR, she mentioned that she sent offer for approval yesterday itself and she is not sure of ETA, when can I expect the offer?
Does your company offer bonuses? If so, are they guaranteed or conditional? I work for a prominent tech company and they don't provide bonuses of any kind, that's their policy. My spouse works at a startup that also doesn't offer bonuses. Maybe I'm just feeling a little FOMO this time of year but wondering if we're collectively in the minority.
I have some marital agreement questions. I am somewhat familiar with family but mainly practice criminal law. I am a lawyer in the military. I am getting ready to go on a hardship, unaccompanied tour but would like to marry my long term boyfriend before I go. I’m not concerned about my retirement because that’s covered. My biggest concern is keeping pre-marriage debt separate (student loans and car loans). Is it possible to do that with a postnuptial?
Need to vent. Several times this year I have needed to cancel events for legitimate issues (surgery, I’m in trial, cases just being transferred to our office, short notice/urgent doctor’s appointments, family health scares, and pregnancy complications). Every time I have a male attorney on the other side it ends up in a f*cking battle over scheduling. I don’t understand it. I’ve been practicing for 6 yrs & it’s gotten exponentially worse over time. When did lawyers stop being people???

I have the chance to take a decent paying insurance subrogation... I’m aware of all the pitfalls of ID, but do those same hold true for subro? Most concerned with the all moves in-house and whether it’ll even be private practice in the future.
