Question for those who practice securities law, specifically ‘33 and ‘34 Act: is the weekend and night work often and terrible? Of course it happens from time to time and maybe firm/partner dependent but trying to gauge how bad it can be.
Resume question. Do you include contract work on your resume or not if you have substantial reputable firm experience since (e.g. 5-6 years with the same firm)? Is having it in there better than the gap (~7 month gap) after law school? Just for full details, I was set to work at a small practice (~2 senior attorneys) and they rescinded due to losing a major client while I was studying for the bar in mid July) Thanks in advance for any advice!

Also I don’t have to be in uncomfortable audit room in uncomfortable suits all day... so now I’m wondering: is it possible that this remote audit becomes a permanent thing? / industry standard?

Just keep that in mind if you have any sense of immediacy around your purchasing needs.

However, I had a long and very productive conversation with someone on this bowl about dating and relationships. I just want to share that it felt really good. If someone wants to talk about anything and is feeling low, please feel free to reach out. Thank you! 😊
