Hello everyone! My co-worker and I are preparing for the SHRM certification exam and Hoping to take it in December. I’m looking to purchase the SHRM learning system books from someone that has already taken the exam this year. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. How does your workplace measure the success of a marketing campaign and do you think that method is a valid/smart way of measuring it?

Hi everyone, I am getting ready for a job interview, and need to create a media plan. I was hoping someone can help me with the next task: basically, I need to create inventory recommendation based on past performance. What I am very confused about is that they gave me Booked Impressions (=4M), but in the task it says I should assume there is unlimited inventory. Am I supposed to use this 4M only to calculate spend, ROAS, etc., but can actually have unlimited allocated impressions? Thank you!

How many candidates are being interviewed for a position at once? I know it probably varies but on my team it seems like maybe 3-5 candidates. I’m interviewing for roles right now and wonder what a typical sized pool would look like. I never make it past the final round so trying to get a better understanding of the process

How has your company been dealing with pay bands based on remote location? I feel like there are as many strategies as there are stars in the sky, and everyone wishes they had the one national tier that a few SF/NY companies have adopted.

The hiring manager didn't want to move forward with a candidate because of his gut feeling. The candidate had the experience and skills necessary but couldn't put his finger on why he didn't want move forward.

The only answer he could was that she asked if pay could be changed and asked about benefits.

Hi all, new-ish associate here at a Virginia firm - quick question: if a pleadings filing deadline for a GDC case ends up being on a Saturday or Sunday, does that mean that it can actually be filed by that following Monday since the court and clerk's office will be open then?

What happens if a startup is acquired before every employee’s Cliff period ends?

I rented a house that had been vacant for a bit & the prior tenant didn’t do a thorough job cleaning up. Agent indicated the owner would be open to having the house cleaned but I would need to have the house professionally cleaned when I moved out (that was fine w me). I just received the bill from the owner for $250, which is super annoying bc there was no expectation communicated that I would foot the bill for this, more so bc the cleaner did a LOUSY job. What big moves/life changes are you guys making in 2020?

When I leave Big4 hoping to get a job at the Senior level, so do I need to wait to promote to Senior for that? Or can I start applying a little earlier with the anticipation of it happening? Ideally would like to have a job lined up and quit ASAP once I hit Senior.

I am looking for a new job at the end of a long career. I have excellent experience in IP and Supply Chain Management. I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. The comparable positions at my company are filled by one of the big executive search firms. Any recommendations for finding the rare executive-level legal positions or for landing on the radar of the big executive search firms would be much appreciated!
