Anyone here work at PwC in North America? Curious about the work culture and if there's anything to watch out for
Curious about non-US attorneys: are you working the crazy hour weeks most of us in the US do? Or are your weeks closer to 40 hours? I hear a lot about the working hour caps, vacation requirements, etc in Europe/Canada. Curious if that flows into legal practice... or if it gets ignored. To clarify—I’m talking about BigLaw. I’m sure there are smaller firms with reasonable hours, the same exists in the US.
First time founder - would you recommend square, stripe or something else for purchases between $150-$10k or what alternatively?
I am a first year associate in Biglaw. I have been put on an improvement plan to increase my billable hours. My supervisors have commented that have not been getting work because I need to improve my efficiency. I am willing to do what it takes to improve but wonder how to improve my hours when no one seems willing to give me a second chance.

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
How would you answer a “Why X law firm over other magic circle law firms?” question in an interview?

Stay in consulting for another 2 years to make Partner or entertain discussions from growing software company that is likely to go public in next 2 years. Comp is higher at software company for next 2-3 yrs probably, then equal for a bit, then Partner would be more. What additional info would you want to be able to do a true comparison?
I’ve been exhausted because I feel like whatever I do I have not been saving as much as my other friends have been (saved up to $15k since start of my career, saved at least 40% every month from my salary). My job transition is really now focused on getting any job that can pay me the highest. And while I’m devastated all of my friends are going to b schools or phds without loans or are landlords already. What are the highest paying jobs right now for a client services person to transition into?
I actually don’t know much about compensation increases that come with promotions. What does the typical % increase look like for an internal recruiter? Just trying to understand all of the things.
