Just need to vent among people who understand me. So we have a multi-generational workplace which is kinda a good thing, generally, but not lately. With the whole opinion polarization around racism, I feel like I don’t know how to be empathetic, impartial and connect people anymore.
Thoughts on Dentsu Aegis? I've received an offer for a role (promotion) and thinking about whether it is a sound move - especially in this environment. They went through furloughs and pay cuts in April due to COVID. I'd be making the move from EY which is a great company to work with - but there is such a long line up to get a promotion, and for roles I've interviewed for internally I get the good ole - you were awesome and it was rly close, but someone was just a better fit.

Most of our employees work from home (WFH). I have one with whom I am unable to make contact on the phone, texts, or emails outside of her scheduled hours and during her scheduled hours. When she is logged in and working, I am able to contact her through her computer's phone extension. Is it appropriate if I tell her that she needs to reply to my texts and/or get her phone fixed if it's not a work-provided phone?

Hello all. Non-Indian here applying for a new H1B. Currently in the US on a different non-immigrant visa and I’m transferring to a H1B to take up a new job offer at a research institute. The organization will be submitting the visa application in a few days and will opt for premium processing. The lawyers we’re working with say they don’t forsee any problem with my application. But I’m still nervous because of all the recent Trump EOs. Any anyone in a similar boat? What has been your experience?
