What do you all think of 2-3 year Human Resource Leadership Development rotational programs?

I am getting a Masters in I/O psychology right now and considering doing one of these programs or going into consulting when I graduate. I really like having a variety of work and accelerated growth which is why both options interest me.

Anybody else feel unworthy of this career? When it comes to stack rankings I’m generally in the top 50% of reps at companies I’ve worked for. On good years I’ll get into top 20%.

It seems every sales job posting is looking for people who have blown out their number every single year. I just don’t see how this is even possible, I’ve worked plenty of places where they gave us an unachievable target so nobody hit their number in a given year.

I am trying to land a role as a human resources business partner and I'm wondering which certification would be the best for me going forward. Phr? Shrm? Thoughts? Thanks!

Curious, is it common practice to advise managers *not* to remain in correspondence with a recently terminated employee? An employee was just fired *without* cause (headcount reduction) and has been trying to contact his former manager to stay in touch, etc. The manager has not responded to the employee yet.

What's the best time of week/day to send emails so that company recruiters will notice them?

Looking for insights from any seller at any of the hold co’s. I have an opportunity to join a new team at a hold co but I’m not sure if it will be a great move to make. I’m doing very well where I am, book of biz is thriving, but the allure of working at a larger company than my small company seems like a great resume builder. I’m not sure where I want to be in 5 years, but this seems like a good way to make myself more appealing. I’ll have to rebuild my book of biz, which means pay cut.

Just started as an AE and I am responsible for the prospecting, running meetings, and closing the deal. Ive been doing like 50/calls per day with about 40 emails per day. I either keep getting rejection emails, VM’s or not interested over the phone. Can someone give me advice how to to get more people attend my initial meetings? Thats one of the big things I am measured on. Thanks!

You all know that this notional focus on inclusion and diversity will be toast when the next recession comes and there is no fight for labor due to the 4 percent unemployment rate ?

Salary and benefits expected for a legal position with a brand new startup? Less than 10 employees and just starting operations. NYC. No current legal positions in the company (ie this is a quasi GC role).

Had anyone here planned a wedding in 3 months or less? Am I crazy? I’m already legally married (small wedding during Covid) but looking to throw a larger celebration of sorts. Originally wanted next spring but my husband and I are wanting to start trying for kids and so I’m leaning this fall or it’ll have to potentially wait until after we have our first kiddo (don’t want to risk a spring date and end up pregnant ha). So is it crazy to think I can plan something for this fall?

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs.
