Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

I say go for it. But don’t be surprised if you’re treated as entry level if you move. You’ll probably get grouped together with the next class of incoming grads, and they won’t see your 9 months of experience as much of a differentiator.
Probably not and may actually make your transition more difficult. T2 and MBBs, from what I hear, don’t put a ton of value in non-strategy work at your junior level, so you’ll often get downgraded 1 level when making the switch. The upside is that you have a higher and faster upward trajectory with a T2 firm. Your experience at the B4 should also help you outshine your peers who have to acclimate to the consulting and professional culture/ways of working.
Personal opinion on this - if you are performing well, you likely could get promoted within a year. Do that then switch. Big pay bonus that way
Talked to my manager about this and they essentially told me that the best of the best didn’t make it to senior associate due to new company policy that forces you to be an associate for two fiscal years. I’m not going to let that discourage me or hinder my work but it is a little dampening which is why I wanted to switch. I appreciate the input a lot though, hopefully it works in my favor.
