2L with two summer offers. The first is an internship with a well respected news outlet. Bc of financing, it is not likely they will offer a full time job. It is also in another state, so the ability to stay on during my 3L year is unlikely. But i would meet interesting peopl and learn a lot. my professors have advised it is unique opportunity.
The second is with a publicly traded ad agency, also under general counsel. This is paid and extends through 3L with potential to hire. Any thoughts?

Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. Relatively new in Big4 M&A advisory doing mostly integration work with some pre deal DD mixed in. I recently heard L.E.K. Consulting places well in MM PE but don't know much about them otherwise. When I was hired, I don't recall being informed about my salary being tied to my location. My employment contract also only makes one mention of location, and says "home office" and my state. I was recently told by HR though that if I move, my comp. will be lower. Is this legal? Should I consult a labor lawyer?

In my mind, I don't recall being told this and it's not clear from my employment contract, so I feel like they're breaking our agreement, and it feels unfair.

I’m a new patent prosecution associate and unfortunately only just now realized that maybe prosecuting patents isn’t something I want to do long term. I loved copyright (and trademark) in law school, but I have loans to pay off.
