Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.
Tata Consultancy Infosys Cognizant Wipro I have completed all the technical and HR rounds and salary discussion, documents submission also done. But all of sudden got mail from hr saying that my profile is kept on hold. Any possibility that I will receive offer letter or it will be in hold forever? Meantime can I attend interview for other positions in hcl?
Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

If tax or audit liar.
Definitely not audit....
Very good
This has to be Chicago and Advisory
Not sure it’s a no brainer. You’re gonna catch that 72k salary before long anyway (what are you currently making?) and if you’ve accumulated substantial social capital where you are / have a manager-senior manager-partner who wants to pull you up the ranks behind them ... def stay.
If you got a “meh” reputation where you are currently and need a reset and are ready to bust it to make a good impression - then maybe
...... you’re making 16.5K more than my buddy who’s an A2 friend in PWC Midwest? I call that a stretch.
From what I hear that’s what they’re paying TC2s to jump over to deloitte Chicago tax
Yet they’re confused why every senior is leaving
Explanation: this is my offer from another Big4 for Chicago tax. Wondering if it’s a no brained to accept and it seems like it is.
You can get more. Negotiate
I’m a third year in Midwest and make 20k less than you wtf... you make what we would make if we leave PwC for industry. Damn.
No way this is tax or audit.
City and function? Chicago makes more than say an office in Kansas. Certain functions have higher starting salaries than others.
Christ Deloitte must be desperate to pay that for a non CPA
Which group and can you be more specific?
I’d say yes
PwC 3 what city? Every offer I had in the Midwest started at $50k out of school, how’re you only at $52k
You are very underpaid even in a low COL for a third year
So my friend went from Crowe to Deloitte tax in Chicago as TC2... 80k base...no CPA
They are. There is enough unstaffed work for tax year 2018 in Chicago Tax BTS to hire 60 people at the staff level and we would still have to hire more staff because the number is closer to 70 people we need
Lol, 70% of these experienced hires at the TC2/Senior/Manager suck in my opinion. Several of the TC2s that I had didn’t know federal income tax expense is an M-1, two of the seniors didn’t know what the DRD was who had Corp experience for years, and an ASC740 manager didn’t know what transition tax is. Like WTF. How did we hire such stupid people?!?
