3300 MQMs away from Delta Gold Medallion. Worth taking a trip that I don’t need / want just for the status?

Alternatively, has anyone been able to get Delta to waive a similar number of MQMs and upgrade anyway? Thanks!

That's one domestic flight. Go for it.

Mileage run time.

Same here. Grabbing the cheapest flights I can find that gets it combined with my last scheduled flying trip

Definitely worth it. You’ll get sky priority and upgraded regularly with Gold depending on where you are flying. Silver you get almost no perks

Depends on where you’re located, OP. Gold gets you Sky Priority, which is nice, but you’re unlikely to clear upgrades ex-ATL/DTW/MSP.

Luggage delay claim question

I used Chase explorer to buy tickets for my vacation and luggages were delayed for a month. Per chase term I am entitled $100 a day for 3 days. But the claim agency chase used has been asking for airlines response, which has not came (2month+ now). I am concerned insurance will use this as an excuse to never compensate. Is there a good way to handle this situation?
TIA

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

Weekend thought as many of us watch our portfolios bleed away value as the market hit all time highs: stick with it. This is a very difficult time in the market so try to figure out what’s not working and fix it. Stick with your process while trying to improve it. That should you you in the best place to manage risk now and be positioned to capture new opportunities in the coming weeks and months. Discipline, execution, and patience are key sources of alpha. Best of luck.

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
