Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Additional Posts in Consulting India
Recently attended an Interview with Tata Consultancy (TCS). Did well in my technical round. They said to me result will be informed by HR on the same day. It has been some days and I still didn't get any update. Does that mean I am not selected? A rejection mail would have been better instead of keeping me waiting with hope. 😐
P.S - In Ibegin portal it only shows my profile being 100% complete and in track status there is nothing. All data shows as 0 like I have not applied still for any jobs.

128K is a good salary in Switzerland. I would say it’s quite similar to 25LPA-30LPA in India. If it’s in Zurich, it’s an average salary. A decent lifestyle in requires at least 100K. But lifestyle would be quite good and cozy. Your wealth ain’t gonna increase though. After 20 years, it’d top at 200K possibly unless you become a CEO with million RSUs. If your spouse can earn around 80K or more, then it’s a no brainier. You can happily leave for Swiss!!
On the other hand, Indian salary is quite good and there’s always a path to increase it to at least 2C.
I’ve seen people leaving India for quality of life coming back because they couldn’t afford house help. Homeland is unbeatable. The only people who’d stay outside India are those who went for ‘on-site’ and couldn’t get a proper job back in India. Or they’ve become multi millionaires by taking a top job. This has not happened in Europe though unless you’re in Finance.
Very well articulated, thanks for your response. My spouse is not working, it would've been no brainer if she could take up a job there.
Practically, it doesn't make much sense to make this move now. In India, I can generate enough wealth in 5-8 years to sustain rest of life (not planning to retire but I like to keep the option open). This will be painfully longer in Swiss.
What is your designation and YOE?
Go to Switzerland. It is indeed a heaven on earth.
Don't be mislead by the company name in my title. It was my previous organization and I've not gotten around to update it yet.
Are you currently working in Amazon?

Can you please tell is there any hiring freeze in Vmware?
There's a slowdown in hiring, not sure if it's frozen. No new hiring in my team atleast.

With family n kids, it would be difficult to save as much you are doing in India.
True. That's what makes the decision harder.
It all comes down to priority. I had left onsite as I have priortized parents and they dont want to move abroad.
My parents doesn't want me to move either.
Switzerland maybe good, but with this you'll live a very good life in india as well. just buy some good apartment/villa in posh location and live top notch
That's true.
How is the WLB in this new high paying job in india?
So far, it looks bad. Bad for the team, I know how to fight back for my Work/Life. So I will ensure I don't end up like them.
How much do u get monthly take home here? Do u have any other liabilities here? Whats your expense here?.
With a non working spouse and kids, i would say India is better for quality of life(as in services like maid, cook, help, etc), closeness to family, quality of education for the money spent, etc.
Also, your growth would better in india then Switzerland.
Then...take the decision and stay back. Also, please never regret the decision later.
