Take your time. You'll be delayed AF
I'd leave in 15 minutes or so
Probably 5 to be safe
No, I'm being serious. As others have mentioned, your flight will probably be delayed, but if it's on time you'll need that to get through traffic comfortably and security
5 is a bit too early for my taste, but it is going to be a nightmare. What is a thirty minute drive in light traffic can be 60-90 minutes at rush hour in a Friday, especially if there is rain. If you wanted to make a NYC move and take some of the variability out of it, you'd take the E, F or M subway to Jackson Heights station in queens and then either the connector bus to laguardia from there or a taxi/Uber from there. That way you can count on it being like 30 minutes to Jackson Heights and no more than 30-45 minutes to Laguardia (possibly as little as 15). Takes the nightmare out of it, but takes some adventuring (not unsafe, just have to be comfortable navigating public transportation).
The flight will be delayed today. My fear is that it's a late flight and it's even possible it will be cancelled. I can describe three late night rental car rides I took with strangers to D.C. from LaGaurdia because I was on the last flight on summer Friday nights and there was a storm. Let's just say that it's the beginning of a bad joke: A lawyer, a banker and a consultant get in a rental car at LaGuardia ...
OP - Ayyyy I'm from the burgh
Good luck getting out in time ... yet alone if your flight doesn't get cancelled due to the weather. I just landed at LGA and it's a shit show.
^5 should be good enough
EY are you guys being sarcastic? Sorry can't tell anymore on this app 😛
Friday traffic is the worst! It starts getting bad at like 1pm. I would also recommend 5 or earlier!
Cancelled 5:15 flight to Chicago for LGA, then ca cancelled 7:15 am flight this morning while other flights were taking off, now 3:15 and it's cloudy and rainy in NYC so my hopes are low
Maybe I'll just rent a car and drive. I'm heading to Pittsburgh..
How does expensing that work?
