8th year associate at an Amlaw 200 with a heavy product liability and tort practice. I am Interested in laterally to products liability groups at Barnes & Thornburg or Faegre Drinker in Indianapolis. If anyone has any insights on either of these groups, comp, culture, etc. I would appreciate it. Also open to any recommendations on best approach for lateraling. Right now neither appear to have openings in those groups.

Need some suggestions from everyone. I have 4.5 years experience and I was working as contractor in ZS and my CTC in parent company was 7 Lakhs.

ZS were willing to offer me FTE as ZS but at a compensation of meagre 8.5 Lakhs. I tried negotiating but they sticked with this.

How come ZS do that? Why can't they pay more as they generally pay 15+ for 4.5 years experience.

How do you deal with a Midlevel who tells the partner you’ll cover for them, but gives you less than 24 hours notice they’ll be gone without asking if you can cover?
