Both times, she went back to NICU after deciding these units weren't for her.

Do you view this as a failure? I don't, and neither does she.

She branched out, listened to her gut, and realized it wasn't what she wanted.

How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager. I was waiting to negotiate my salary for next year but per company trend that doesn’t get set until January (manager reviews are written in Dec).

Last night I went over to my friends house (she has 2 kids, 2 and 4 yo). She and her husband were asking me about my pregnancy and planning. And were asking what I’ve prepped to date. I’m only 13w2 days so I think it’s way to early for buying stuff, but I did mention we hired a baby nurse for when the baby comes. My friend completely berated me, short of calling me a bad mom already, saying “what is she going to do all day? Don’t you want to bond with your child?”. I’m so upset by this.

My mom and dad are separating (bad terms) and not speaking, but my mom asks me about him everyday. She knows I don’t want to talk to him or about him, but continues to bring it up everyday.. I’ve resorted to silence or not responding because I always end up being the bad guy when I get annoyed or don’t want to discuss it. Am I wrong here?

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

How normal is it to be pulled off a trial team because you tell your boss you are moving after trial? I have a trial coming up first week of Oct. This case has been my baby, and I’m going to try it with my boss. I bought access to Wall Street Prep’s modeling courses to enhance my modeling skills. I find that the material is a few years old and the guy in the video explaining everything is super monotone and boring. I just don’t feel like I’m learning much.
