This is why I am a delta lifer. No airline is perfect (or even great), but delta is one of the best
Does it extension show up on the app? I made plat in 2019, which theoretically should be covered under the extension but my 2022 status still shows as basic Skymiles Member.

It hasn’t processed yet; I think last year they didn’t do it until a couple months after they announced it.
This year, I’m guessing they wait until January (Medallion benefits expire 1/31) since they’ll need to distinguish extensions from people who earned it the hard way (no choice benefits for extensions this time).
Delta is by far the best - both in terms of operational excellence and in-flight experience. They struggle with ticket price (they are, on average, 10% more expensive for the same routes/times vs. competitors). My partner works there and it’s a great company to work for - they treat their employees incredibly well.
They are one of the few American airlines that can charge a premium on a largely commoditized product because of their differentiators. Pretty rare to be able to do so successfully.
I’m a Delta lifer too. I don’t get why other airlines aren’t doing this, they are letting all of their clients with status become free agents.

FLY DELTA JETS 😎
United botched it for me
Still would've been a delta lifer even if they didn't do this. I remember getting on a united flight to CA and thinking am I flying in 1990.
Any Chicagoans delta customers? How’s that been? Want to make the switch from United but Chicago not being a hub has me hesitating - afraid of not having as many direct flight options

I used to be hub captive to ORD and still did about 95% of my flights on DL. Connecting usually isn’t a pain, and I always preferred it to a nonstop on UA or AA.
I think DL has nonstops to BOS, LGA, JFK, ATL, DTW, MSP, SEA, CVG, SLC, and RDU from ORD - most of its hubs and focus cities. Guessing that after they move to T5 they’ll be able to pick up LAX and maybe BNA or AUS as well.
American sent me an offer to spend $2k more this year to keep my exec platinum status
United extended my Global Services status through 2023
