A month ago I get contacted by a recruter working for an MBB inviting me to pass their recruitment process. Being very happy with my current job, I’ve told the recruiter that I’ll join the process only as an experience. I’ve passed all but the last interview. The recruiter calls me back very angry and I may say arrogant calling me a mediocre and insisting that there have been mixed opinions about me and that the MBB would have been the next level, him being an ex PwC employee. Is this normal?

Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.
