@A2 - in technology? And does Accenture have some different rules for h1 approvals from government compared to the other big 4 companies who are able to hire on h1?
Same rules, higher ethical standard, as a bigger company we get audited more often. None of the. Big4 nor the IBM's and HPs should be able to get them in the current label market either except for very specific rare skill sets. They are abusing the system and taking a calculated risk they won't get tagged.
We aren't willing to take the risk.

I heard KPMG has stopped at entry level as well. Makes sense when only 1/4 of people are getting visas in the lottery and they'll have to replace 75% anyway within a year.

Can someone sane from Accenture respond to my question, are they on a freeze for h1 hiring for lateral hire in technology consulting?

You might be VP of American parliament for I care. My question was very specific and targeted, your comments on big 4 and h1 policy made it very clear that you don't know much about h1 hiring at big 4 currently specifically technology consulting. I work for PwC for 6 years now, have currently have an offer from both Deloitte and EY in their technology consulting practice and I know for a fact that they are hiring h1's. I know KPMG is on a temp h1 freeze. I just wanted to know if Accenture is still on a freeze for h1 candidates for lateral hire or not.
Plus h1 has never been an issue for people who have done their masters in this country. All firms from McKinsey Bain to Deloitte PwC still go and hire international students and sponsor h1 for them. I know because I am an active participant as an interviewer in campus recruiting events for PWC
Good pwc OP time to file a complaint against both those firms and let them get censured if they are sponsoring visas when Americans are available,

Also you are extremely confused between a green card sponsorship and a purpose of h1 visa. How about we file a complaint against Accenture for hiring dumb and ignorant people.
If you have someone sponsoring an h-1b currently you made a commitment to that employer you have a moral obligation to honor it.
