Full-time recruiting is just on the horizon and I would love some advice on long-term career trajectories between starting out in tier 2 quant trading, BB sales and trading, or SWE/data science at tech companies. I have been lucky enough to get offers from all 3 sectors during internship recruiting but the cultural and stability differences between the sectors makes them hard to compare for a full-time career with my limited experience.

I’m surprised how many SF developers, 9 out of 10, do not know the out of box functional capabilities of the Salesforce platform and what the standard objects are. All I see are a bunch of custom objects and apex triggers as their default design. Is it right time to almost have a functional and a technical consultant like SAP where the functional does all the functional design, configuration and mapping to what are available natively while tech does all the coding?
