I have a dilemma. I received two different job offers. One from a VERY good consulting firm, the other from a corporate company (pharmaceutical industry). Both in sustainability field, same salary. One 200km from home with possibility to work remotely most of the time (consulting), the other literally 850 meters from my house right now. The corporate company offers 6 months at first with the possibility to get a permanent contract afterwards. The consulting firm proposes a permanent contract. What should I do?

Shouldn't the ones facing the clients make more?
There are fewer senior PM positions than Account, so as you rise through the ranks I think PM is typically higher. But you have to love PM. ❤️❤️
@CW1, I am a PM and I am on-site in front of the client all week, travel home on Thursday night. The account folks swoop in once in a while to secure the next SOW or CO but we are in the trenches at the company formerly known as Razorfish.
Industry wide project will typically make more than account, and significantly so. Project coordinator more than account coordinator, project manager more than account manager, project director more than account director, etc. Generally pm requires more technical skills or training or credentials, whereas account are more soft skills. However senior project roles are more rare in agencies whereas senior account roles are much more common, easier to find with decent pay.
Well if your me you get paid less, do 3 times the work, and have the account team pick apart and question literally every single estimate, scope and timeline I send them.
PM
Leveling for experience PM makes higher base but Account has higher bonus and so annualized should be about the same here.
Would think it is somewhat comparable. No idea, have never wondered. Check glass door for your region for large swaths of info across levels/titles at different agencies. You're not going to really know from this thread.
They are suppressed to before the client does the same! I know, it does suck... ^^^
*supposed to
It'd assume the salaries would be there same, with account making more with more senior roles
