Question about comp at KPMG M&A
Likely going to move to Chicago or NYC next summer (will have 3 years tax experience by then) What can I expect my salary to be if I’m going to Big 4?
Nearing the end of the interview process for a mid level Product Designer role but experience wise I’d be considered more junior. What do I ask for in terms salary? (Sorry if it’s a stupid question) I’ve gone through whiteboarding and a design challenge so skill wise I think I’ve proven to them I am capable. They gave me a range for the role so would I just go with that? It’s higher than average in the market and one I’d be happy with but I feel weird since I’m not actually mid level.
Late post but I’m thankful for the Controller who made the big4transparency.com website! It may have helped a few souls realize they’re underpaid and looked for greener pastures which then contributed to the movement in the market and therefore the firms’ drive to make compensation competitive. I hope everyone updates the sheet with their adjusted comps in the past few months to make it more recent!
Payback Clauses!! I received a sign-on bonus and was informed that if I left the company prior to 18 months I would have to pay back X% of my sign-on bonus. I recently accepted a new job and have flexibility as to when I put in my 2 week notice. If my 18 month anniversary date is on December 8th, can I put in my two week notice before this date with the understanding that my last day would fall after this date, or would it be safest to put in my 2 week notice after my 18 month anniversary date?
Trying to explain to my non consulting friend that your salary can climb by 60k easily in 4 years. Please share your experiences of this guys (more examples the better)
what is the range of L9 Salary(Fixed component) in Accenture for 7 YOE front end developer
Hello, I got an offer from a different firm but they only offered me $15k + more than my current base salary with no signing bonus. I don’t know if I want to accept it, don’t think the increase is that much. I am going to ask for $15k but also check with my current employer if they can match. I don’t hate my current employer and will probably leave for a industry job next year so not sure what to at this moment.
Black box comp at mid law. Base Pay is currently 25 percent less than top market and bonus program is meh. Billable hours req is 1800 though. Given how hot the job market is, what is the best way to ask for more pay in the year end discussion without pissing the firm (that I like) off.
How did you set your rent budget when moving in with a partner? I make £125k base (£167k inc bonus), and my boyfriend makes £95k base (£105k inc bonus). I’m used to allocating 30% of my take-home pay to rent, which is about £1800/mo for a charming neighbourhood in zone 1, but my bf’s used to paying closer to £1000/mo to live in zone 6 and balks at the rent prices I think are reasonable given our incomes and locations we want (zone 2). We both wfh so ideally want a 3BR. (Continued in comments)

Hi all, have been approached about an interesting buyside opportunity but have a few q’s. I’ve currently got a role in an alts investment team (pe primaries, and a little secondaries) at a bulge that pays well starting in Jan. New offer is at a sub-$1bn fund and a bit hybrid investment team and firm strategy. Does anyone have insight to the Secondaries/Primaires comp range from VP up (salaries, bonus, carry, etc)? How is the culture vs direct PE? Thoughts on big firm vs small fund over time?
Thinking of moving from consulting to program management for a software company. I have 6 years working experience and an MBA. I was offered 124k as a base and 12% annual bonus. No sign on bonus or equity. Thoughts on this offer?
Hi folks! I am about to join KPMG global services in January. I have received the attached break up of compensation and I am doubtful about the flexible compensation part. Is this flexi part is paid fully on monthly basis? Since the HR of the company has said to me it comes under fixed part only which I am now doubtful about! Please help me to calculate my in-hand income..and help me to understand about this flexible income. Thanks!
Because of my hire date last year I wasn’t reviewed in last summer’s annual review cycle. My firm cut everyone’s salary by 25% in March and made major layoffs and more are coming. The firm made it clear that during this summer’s review they will not discuss salary. Any advice for how to have the conversation in the near future about a raise? I work exclusively with nonprofits and my current salary is not sustainable. Are consulting firms that deal with for profits also suffering like this?

Which offer is the best? 7 YOE -Deal Advisory Manager focusing on AAS $140K base in Big4. This will be a boomerang. -Corporate Strategy Mng role in a private company $125K base My priority is WLB and minimal travel but seems like WLB is not really possible in Strategy role but there is possible traveling in Big4 too. So confused.
