Acting like I care about the work is so exhausting. Having to positively receive all the subjective client critiques and watering down the rewriting to fit their perceptions zaps me of any creative juices. I’m supposed to care, but at the same time not take it personal. Why should I put in the effort for nothing in return? I feel like a robot all the time, and if I’m not always “on” then I won’t be able to move forward in my career, but I’m just so burnt out on this client and feel all used up.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Are there any disadvantages of joining a C2H role purely on the basis of high CTC even though it is for a big client of the contractor company?

The equivalent of this is in SQL, you can use the apostrophe in the beginning of and end of a text. That text will not affect the function of the query, but that text can be seen if you proofread the query.

I started a new job recently and then had my PTSD seriously triggered, plus a panic attack. Felt so on edge and low on emotional resources for over a week that I wasn’t myself and apparently really rubbed a few people the wrong way so I was called in for a talking to 😣. I let people know there were some personal things going on, but didn’t mention the PTSD—very unsure if that’s something to share, or if I’d be judged for it or... I don’t even know. Has anyone else dealt with PTSD and had it impact them at work, and how did you handle it?

My agency is “casual”, but recently I’ve been getting legit picked on for my work attire. No inappropriate parts of me are exposed. I wear jeans&a t shirt or leggings&a t shirt every day (cont).
