After 9yrs in consulting, I see no value nor purpose in what I do anymore. Everyday looks the same, just sucked up in meetings and deliverables and can’t stand anymore this stupid consulting jargon and projects that look all the same. Learning curve flattened (M3 level) and therefore worrying now to be wasting my time and not be able to exit at decent conditions (as industry would be demanding for my yoe). Already started some online learning on topics that interest me most. Any advice?

Align to non-M&A offering but do a lot of work in the space (DD, integrations). B4 recruiter reached out and wants me to provide resume@for review with hiring partner. Does it work if I provide a bio with summary of M&A projects (client names removed) instead of a traditional resume? Also plan to list education and previous roles.

My book is just spec and side projects. I’m trying to get a new junior-to-mid role because I’ve gotten nothing good produced where I’m at, and I have zero faith this will change if I stick around.

my sister died this morning. I posted about her in a past post. Alcohol addiction, liver failure and then it taxed the kidneys too much, she went into cardiac arrest at 9 am and they could not save her. She was 51. Sad day for sure. Feels odd that she is no longer here. I just wish she could have had a better future.
