Im current at EY in a consulting group that does not focus on deals, but have completed few due diligence type engagements. We focus mostly on ODD (Operational Due Diligence) for private equity firms. I really want to make it into IB. I have an interview for a Valuation and Opinions Role. Would that help in transitioning in as an IB Analyst? I would have a substantial pay cut (100K to 85K - excluding bonus). My current experience has not been seen as valuable by recruiters.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .

We’re in such a vicious business. You give your heart & soul to an agency, a client, a brand. Then the wind changes & you’re laid off, reassigned, chewed up, spit out, on to the next. I’m tired.

How do you handle remote teams being in different time zones? Right now we have a ton of team leaders on the west coast with the core team on the east coast and because of that urgent requests keep coming down after hours with the expectation to address it immediately. So at this point we’re working from 8am until like 11pm and nobody knows what to do to push back on it
