Buying flight tickets for a bachelor party and not checking a bag... Buy on a card earning 3.5% back? OR Buy on my AAdvantage card earning 2x miles? TPG's points valuation is redemption-focused, and not clear on earning.
What is the most creative way you've taken a client out to say thanks or foster team-building?
In a predicament need some thoughts: I’m getting offered a new role (not a promotion, just a new role within my project) that has more lead level responsibilities. It seems if I take this role and do well at it, I could potentially get promoted mid year or end year. Now, this is coming at an interesting time when I was already looking to transition to a new company - an immediate transition will get me a quicker salary bump that I would otherwise have to wait a bit to get at my current company
Does anyone have any advice on how to navigate friendships with people with steeply lower EQs? I’m incredibly empathetic and feel like some of my friends can be so cold and callous when I go to them for support, mostly due to their very analytical nature.
Change my mind: the CSP (2x travel) paired with the CFU (3x dining) is effectively as good as the CSR but with a lower fee. By combining the two above, the math on the CSR breakeven changes.
First time I was pissed off on my onshore client. I communicated way before the booking started but only gave his tasks about four hours before the booking ends. I was relieved I blatantly emailed him that I received this on a friday afternoon (another way of saying its really late tho)

In general, is it a good idea to transfer Marriott points to united miles, assuming redemption is at value? I have a lot more Marriott points than I have miles, and want to use miles for a biz tix
Special shoutout to JetBlue for the Dunkin coffee and foaming hand soap. To the firm that does its next cost cutting, pls keep.
I need to get my wisdom tooth removed but I am swamped in client work. Consultants who’ve gotten wisdom tooth removed as an adult, how much time did you take off work? Will it impact my ability to speak or be client facing? My hope is to have the procedure done on a Thursday, September 2. I’d take Friday off, Monday is Labor Day holiday, and return to client meetings on Tuesday. Is this feasible?
Does our expense policy allow making changes to flights (booking an earlier flight back)? There’s a line on DNet saying “change fees are reimbursable). Thanks in advance

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
So I am interviewing at 2 companies concurrently. I am likely going to receive an offer from one before I complete interviews at the other, but I would prefer to work at the company that is taking longer to interview. What is the longest I can ask the other company to wait for me to accept or reject the offer? Anyone have some tips on how to navigate this?
Best (worst) mistake you've seen? Q&A during quarterly earnings call in ER, intern doesn't know how to mute so puts tape on mic. Loud ass crinkling during questions. Sr analyst curses out intern
Currently work in a stupid “Covid” job and am having trouble with pay. This team Im on takes an extra week to pay its members so we are paid every three weeks rather than two.
