What's everyone's thoughts on job hopping? How frequent is too frequent? Are there any benefits to frequent hopping?
I work in a Rep Services Call Center for an Insurance/ Investment Company. Currently I'm pursuing my MBA at Western Governors University and I plan to get my Series 7 after my MBA so I can get out of the Call Center and advance my career. I'm looking for some advice / guidance/ideas for growth opportunities from here. I'd like to hear about good experiences and bad experiences people have had in this industry, where did you start, how did you grow from there, what licenses do you have, ect.
Anyone see a registered dietician without having a very pressing health issue (as in, stomach issues or obese)? I just lack the willpower and focus to really effectively control my eating, I’d love to have someone to hold me accountable and help identify specific triggers I have personally to lose like 15-20 pounds. How did you go about finding one?
ACN 🐟 Is there a reason why the benefits package is hush hush? I'd like to compare my current package to the one ACN offers and I was told by the recruiter that they can't give it to me. I'm not asking for cost, just what's covered. Which honestly, not even saying how much it'll cost you is weird, too.
Does EY pay 100% for maternity leave 4 weeks before baby is due? I know they do 16 weeks post delivery but CA state law allows you to take 4 before due date. Anyone able to get it approved and paid?
I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again. Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)
Maybe a strange take but I think that we should be more in touch with our internal bodies. We can send astronauts to the moon and rovers to mars but there’s no easy, portable way to scan our bodies to see what’s going on inside (e.g., a DIY full body xray or MRI). I think this could be the next gen of weighing scales that also show various health metrics, track fitness, etc. It could help with prevention and diagnosis. I guess it’s bad for health providers who make $ today from this. Thoughts?
Anyone from ZS willing to refer a friend for their healthcare practice in the NJ office?
Just turned 50 and allocated about 10% in my 401k to a long term bond fund which is already down 3% this year . I am not a fan of bonds especially with the current rate environment. Any suggestions instead of bonds to protect principal . Money market ? Target date fund ?
Any advice on what to do if you feel depressed while on a case? Have felt this way for a while now, but have prioritized work over health

Fishes, I am a new joiner at EY. Got mail from Insurance team to update the dependents. Also I have added the Top Up plan of 15Lakhs for which the premium was around 25k. How is the premium deducted from salary. Is it one time or is it done quarterly. Appreciate the help on this.
Me and SO are thinking of joining orange theory. Any discounts they offer for Deloitte, military, healthcare? Anyone have an idea on pricing in Jersey?
Just joined D and looking at rollover options from old 401k. Are there any arguments against rolling over and leaving the old 401k as is?
I'll be joining the consulting world very soon and am thinking about getting a new personal credit card. My meal expenses are per diem so I'm thinking about the AmEx Gold card as it has 4x points on dining. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on personal cards for consultants and how to go about my corporate card as well! TIA
I’m changing jobs and near my 401k limit in my current plan. How do I limit contributions with my new employer while still maximizing the match?
What do you invest in if you’ve already maxed out 401k and HSA and don’t qualify for IRA?
Welcome to the mental health Awareness bowl for those in Big Law. Mental health Awareness is severely over-looked in the industry, despite cursory attempts by firms to broach the topic with attorneys.
Any current/Ex IBM please guide me to Opt In/Out of the IBM's Medical Insurance. To start of there is a co share of premium for a base sum insured of 3L which comes around 1790/- Then skipping the benefits for a second if I jump on to the claim part there is a Copay of 10-90. Employee will have to bear 10% of the claim and insurer will bear the other 90%. For dependents 20-80 Copay. Are the benefits are good enough to consider copay and subscribe ? Please Suggest.
Since partners no longer get subsidized health care coverage from their firms, do any partners purchase health care through the aca marketplace exchange? Even without a premium tax credit from the exchange, it would have to be cheaper than paying full price via the firm’s plan unsubsidized. I heard that some get coverage thru a spouse’s plan, but what if the spouse’s family plan from their employer is really bad? Curious to hear about options out there. EY PwC KPMG Deloitte Grant Thornton
I’ve been at a startup for a month now. I’m pretty certain my co-manager has been purposely withholding information from me when I ask for clarity on a process or general company information. Other than that, I like my role and company so far. What’s the best way to approach a situation like this? Pretty certain it’s because of insecurity and wanting to look better but I really am not a fan of these antics and it makes me question how long I want to stay here.
Mental health check - I have several personae I use when I cannot cope. They let me feel like I’m watching my life when I’m too f$&@ed up to be an active participant and keep things moving.
I’m between jobs, no longer have health insurance, & w/out a definitive start date. Really concerned what my options are going to be if I happen to get sick... anyone else in the same boat?!
This is for my real estate agents. I’m brand new into the business and I adore the work. What tips or pointers can you give to a new agent- I’m in Las Vegas if it helps to be specific. If anyone has any book recommendations that’d be awesome as well. I’m looking to learn anything and everything. For example, learning what I can and can’t do to make a deal close
My mother was approached by a prominent business person about investing in her business... they would bring a lot of expertise (and of course capital) but she’s wondering ... (continued)
What are people’s thoughts on the future of WFH within consulting in London? Hybrid Model / Full WFH / Back in the office or client site full time?
I blasted someone on Facebook. For posting the same dumb memes about covid19. Honestly, when we have so many new yorkers dying, it’s getting old.
I am working for 12-14 hours a day in a non client facing role at one of the big 4. What are some of the exit opportunities I can think of in the next 1-2 years? I want to have a 9-6 job with decent pay.
Interviewing with a small internal strat team (currently 3 FTEs) led by the CSO. One VP was awesome, Ex MBB really energetic/excited is with 1.5 yrs in tenure. Then interviewed with the other VP and Manager. They weren’t great, overall not quite at the same level as the VP in terms of professionalism and pedigree. They were very tactical and felt more like middle managers without vision. The latter two seem to have grown up in the company (3-4 years)
Interviewed for a job late 2018. Accepted another offer. A day later, the first job reached out and I told them. Lost job for going to HR over a verbally abusive boss. Is it weird to reach back out...

Desi Consultants!! - who all are thinking of hiring Sima Taparia (after watching Indian matchmaking on Netflix) for finding your future significant other?
Are there some things or types of work you all did at your firm that might help with MBA admissions? Beyond the actual “work”? Thanks!
