Do BTA every week :p

Find competent staff

Which practice do you work in? Do you want the basics or more advanced?

EY2 either would be good, basics as a refresher or advanced. I’m in advisory moving to a SM role.

Where are you located? I have a general PPP that I prepared to help the team I work with. I’m happy to share it with you, keeping in mind it is basic (sort of Project Management 101)

Find people who you respect and think they manage well and ask for advice. Your network is your most valuable tool

@ey2 can you share in general ?

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
