How is job security, work life balance & work culture with CapGemini Invent?

As my title indicates, I'm both a product and a privacy counsel at my tech co. The product is consumer-facing and deals w/ privacy issues, so lots of overlap. Advice on pivoting into Sales from Accounting? I know I have the skills and it’s a better fit, personality-wise. If a partner asked you to do non-client related/may help later work, how long is too long to get back to them? Came to big law as a second year from a smaller firm (three years out). First year (who should be a second year) is emailing me trying to figure out where are things with a federal notice summary (I allowed them to help). Can I tell the first year to chill? I feel like if the partner needed it ASAP, they would have said so. I turned in the summary less than 72hrs later. Nbd/big deal?

Sleeping tips??

Ever since Covid I’ve started having trouble sleeping because I dream of attacks happening in various locations (weird I know). I’m normally *very* practical/pragmatic about that sort of thing, and I’m fine again once I wake up, so I’m pretty sure it’s just a reflection of feeling like I can’t control the situation as every time I can’t seem to stop my fiancé from dying no matter what I do :(

Does anyone work at a firm where legal assistants don't do legal assistant things? For example, I have to do my scheduling and calendaring. I have to upload documents to our file management system. This morning, a name partners assistant didn't realize the name partner had a depo and didn't confirm it. This is how this firm as been for decades and it's incredibly frustrating to work this way. It's so hard to not stress over this daily.

Hi everyone, have a final informal interview in a couple weeks with someone I’d be working with routinely. Was told that it’s the final step but have also read on here that there’s a hiring committee interview. Is this for everyone, or should I expect to be done after this upcoming one?

Hi all - I’m currently in GBO sales and got an offer for a role in the GBO company plan. I’ll be the same level (5) and location (NYC) but my total compensation will be $20k lower with the company plan. Is this common? Has anyone been able to negotiate comp when switching teams within Google?

Got a verbal confirmation for an offer from recruiter. Now she is negotiating my pay with the compensation team instead of me. I thought I had to do the negotiations with that team? Need some inputs. My BU just went into a reorg which has benefitted me and I got a promise to a fast track promotion within 18 months of my joining. However, I’m passionate about a pm role and have got an offer for a rotation position. I’m not sure how to bring it up to my supervisor considering they made that promise only recently.
