Whatever you do don’t plan a vacation for someone to New Orleans and get Spirit airlines tickets because they will care more about that than your thoughtfulness! #singlesbowl lol

Hotel Monteleone with the famous Carousel Bar and lots of cool history...The Roosevelt...Le Pavillon
The Hilton on St. Charles is a good option that's usually pretty reasonable. If you want to splurge, The Roosevelt (A Waldorf hotel) is fantastic option for Hilton.
Roosevelt is top notch. Scored it for 60k points for NYE weekend a few years back. Rooms rates were $1k+, still my best Hilton redemption to date.

It's kinda basic, but the regular Sheraton on Canal Street is the best hotel in New Orleans. I go to Nola at least once a year, and this is my go to spot.
It's actually pretty nice, and has a great lounge overlooking the river with pretty good food and free drinks.
But the real reason to stay here is the the location! It's across Canal and about a block down from Bourbon Street, so it's just steps away. But the distance and the high floors make it quiet!
All of the hotels in the Quarter are too loud and crazy, and, frankly, unsafe. I once had two drunk dudes literally break through my door at the W on Chartres Street. You are gonna want to be away from the action a little bit.
