Can anyone share info on what salary + bonus I should base my expectations on at Deloitte coming in as a consultant w/ two years industry experience + undergrad?
Got an offer from a small biotech firm for a director role. Base is $200k plus $25k sign on plus $50k RSU with target bonus of 25%. I’m currently a M3 making $185 should be promoted to SM within the next year or so. Am I crazy to think this is a low offer?

Trying to decide between two portfolio ops roles, both in the Bay Area: Small-ish VC firm, ~135k base + 35k bonus Medium PE firm, ~115k base + 115k bonus Which would you choose? I’m leaning towards the PE firm bc it’s more hands-on, faster learning curve, and higher TC, but the VC role seems to have a better WLB and generally sounds cooler (getting exposed to VC vs continuing in the corporate world). What do you think?
Looking to get some insights in PwC's bonus policies. I have an offer from PwC in their Salesforce practice and the bonus offered is a range of 27% to 35%. But they have not included that bonus % in the offer letter. For those who have worked at PwC, is this a norm? Have you seen them follow through the Bonus payout? Does the bonus % change significantly from YOY? What are the individual objectives/targets that need to be met at the Sr Manager level to earn the bonus?
What’s a typical salary % increase for a general strategy consultant at B4 exiting to industry? Would be a startup or large food company.
I hope every day that the assholes that fired me for bullshit reasons (other than my salary was too high and they were awful managers and worse people) would perish in flames.
My firms bonus structure is based on “billed out” (what a partner actually bills to the client) dollars instead of actual hours billed. So you can work 2000 hours but the bonus is based on only 1850 hours, because 150 got cut over the year. Is this normal? It seems entirely unfair and makes it impossible to get a bonus.
Intern updated her LinkedIn job title to "Paid Intern at Deloitte". Cringe-worthiness should be grounds for dismissal.
Wonder if people who claim to be more effective and efficient thanks to WFH and wish to never go back to the office are the same people whose jobs are more likely to get off-shored/ outsourced? At the end of the day, if it's just a transactional, "follow-the script" kind of job requiring minimal interaction/relationship/collaboration with other team members, why would the companies be incented to keep paying salaries + benefits when they can just as easily ship these jobs overseas?
Any advice on how to improve your presentation skills? I am in my first client facing role and I want to make sure i do well.

Today is my first day back at work (and first full day back in my physical office) after a few weeks off for parental leave. Needless to say, I am struggling to stay focused on anything other than wanting to go back home to my spouse and child. I know I shouldn't take an emotional temperature on day one, but it has been more difficult being back than I anticipated. Any tips for navigating the waters for the first day/week/month back?

Charlotte fish - thoughts on Lowe’s as employer? Tried looking for a company bowl but don’t think there is one. Any feedback on the work culture, benefits etc?
I'm trying to be a core member of a big client service team. Partners are notorious for having terrible work life balance. They push teams to work 80-90 hour weeks and ask to have meetings on weekends like it's no big deal. They don't even ask when you're free, just choosing a time that works with the sr partner. How do you set boundaries when their expectation is that you're always available? I'm scared if I don't show up that I'll lose their support.
