Any insights on how to dive in into Tech Recruiting? I am trying to apply for that line of business but all the postings Ive seen so far requires minimum 2 years of experience. I recent started (8 months also Contract/limited time) with new company but i’m assigned in a Retail Environment. I really did not thought that aspect before accepting the offer. All my recruiting experience are in Insurance, banking or retail/csr.

Hey that would be amazing!

I started in staffing and I took it upon myself to pursue tech clients to obtain experience.

I researched programming languages, the various tech roles, etc. I took it upon myself to expose myself and gain the access to get into big tech.

I thought about that- but didn’t entertain the idea as much since I’ll most probably take a big pay-cut. Thank you, i will certainly take this move as one of the options!

I would like insight as well on how to get into the tech industry. I’m a full cycle recruiter with less than 2 years in a Corporate education setting, any suggestions would be appreciated

I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Yet I have had some interesting convos for people manager roles in insights recently and wondering if I should maybe refocus my efforts there. I’m looking for a broader mandate than just my immediate pipeline. I have been enjoying insights but grow frustrated by the lack of decision-making power. I rather would want to take a path with high long term career potential.

Thoughts on kindly asking your bridesmaids to please not give a gift? I am over the moon excited that my bridesmaids will be celebrating me and traveling for the wedding and bachelorette. I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?
