moka pot and milk frother
With that budget, and assuming you're not a coffee snob, probably nespresso is your best option
Any specific models
I think if you do some research you will quickly find that $150 will not get you a “good” non-pod based espresso machine- especially if you enjoy milk based drinks that need steam. There is actually a ton of engineering involved in a quality espresso machine.
My initial budget was $750. After probably 8 hours of research I ended up buying a Lelit MaraX for $1500
Definitely not looking at spending so much. Coffee is not a big priority for me. I like an occasional cup in the morning. May just stick to my local coffee shop

As an M I would expect you to be able to shell out a lil mo than just $150. Particularly for an espresso machine. Treat yoself, don't cheat yoself
Lol. This actually made me laugh out loud (no sarcasm). For context, I like coffee, I don’t love coffee. It’s not a deal breaker for me. And also, as an M, for treating myself, I shell out on at least 4 weeks of international vacation every year with several “experience days”. Different priorities
Love my nespresso vertuo with the aerocino. There’s obviously more sophisticated espresso makers out there, but this is at your price point, has a small footprint in the kitchen, and makes quite good coffee. Pods range in size from espresso, double espresso, cappuccino size, and also brews “standard” volume cups of coffee that are espresso based
The grinder alone will cost around (or more) than that for one that will last long term.
This is a great one. Lasted me for 10 years and still going.

To be completely honest, with that budget you won't get anywhere. A good espresso grinder alone costs twicee as much. If you like coffee, get some equipment to brew your own, and save the espresso's and cappuccino's for when you go to coffee shops.

I know there are a lot of Nespresso fans out there, but I for one was disappointed. Our machine constantly had problems that tech support couldn’t fix, and the coffee itself was mediocre— most varieties had a chemical bitterness to them that our whole household found unappealing. Every time I would get an actual espresso from a coffee shop, I would think, aaaaaah, this is what an espresso should taste like.
But that’s just me…clearly a lot of people love the machine and the coffee
My mom loves her nespresso. It has a frother on it. I’m not a fan of coffee at all, so I don’t know the model, but it’s one of the newer ones with the bigger pods. Takes up quite a bit of space imo.
If the $150 budget is too small maybe you can find a used one.
Might be worth doing some rough math on what you will spend on pods in the long term if you’re going to go down that path.
Nespresso costs ~$1 per espresso
1kg of a decent espresso like Lavazza is $18
1kg will yield 100 espressos
Cost per espresso = $0.18
At one cup a day breakeven will take awhile, but that entire time your consuming a better product.
If you are okay with a machine that wouldn’t be able to pump out shot after shot without reheating look at the Gaggia Classic Pro. It’s a truly excellent machine in terms of coffee quality. Cost is $450 from Whole Latte Love

So guys, an update - I got this today for $170
1) Nespresso Vertuo Next
2) 124 coffee pods
Not bad, eh!!!
