Any tips for helping a sensitive kid be more confident and independent ? My daughter is 3.5 year old, and struggles with strangers or parties. She is perfectly playful in school and her known friends. She wants to stay on me and not look at what’s happening at a party or when we meet someone for dinner, does want to leave shortly- which we do. I know she wouldn’t flip overnight, just want her to be comfortable enough to be there, and not feel stressed.

From a financial standpoint in this market, which would be a better approach in Austin -

1. Buy a ~8-850k house that meets most of our ideal criteria (size, schools, interiors etc) to stay long term

2. Buy a ~5-550k house that’s not ideal with the plan of moving into an ideal home in 4-5 years when kid is ready for school.

How easy is it to get a mortgage for the second home?
