First, you earned a promotion so keep doing what got you there.
Second, you likely now have more managerial of staff as part of your responsibility. Be a good leader. Don’t be one of those Mgmt types who lets the power go to your head. Leadership doesn’t = telling people what to do. Your job is to provide guardrails but allow your people to contribute and grow.
Third, make time for regular conversations with your team as a whole and individually. Give them time to ask questions, share concerns, etc. Listen, act on the feedback, etc.
Fourth, more client exposure is likely. Get in the habit of prepping for every call, every email, etc. be proactive about understanding their potential questions so that you can answer them before they ask or quickly after they do
Keep up the good work.
Take care of your people and they’ll take care of you.
