Some of you have no idea what life is like outside of the first world and it shows.
Only a handful of countries in Western Europe, plus Australia, treat queer people better — if not the same or worse — than the US. The blue states here are far more supportive of us than nearly 98% of the world. Honestly, I can't imagine leaving the US; the grass is already greener here.
We need to stand firm, fight against the threats, and protect our rights. Does that make sense?

I'll wait a little longer for the water to get hot. I shouldn't have to flee my homeland. But I'm even more dedicated to building up to financial independence so I can split if needed. I have looked into countries and I have a short list where my skills are in demand and the immigration process seems doable. I'd love to move to the Nordics, but a requirement is learning the language. I just don't see myself learning Norwegian.
Similar strategy for me. I hope yours works out well.
As a trans woman with queer kids, it would be foolish not to have a back-up plan. I will stay as long as I can but once they start to criminalize my existence or threaten my ory children's lives, I'm out. All my trans sisters are formulating back-up plans and sharing information. We have 3 months to get prepared and get our paperwork and documentation in order. After that, everything is on tenterhooks.
My heart hurts for my trans sisters who have to think like this for their own safety. 😔
You can’t give up and run away every time things don’t go the way you expected.
Sure, the grass always looks greener at other places. The point is that there is a lot of ugly politics going on in Europe too, you just don’t know about it.
Would have done it the first round if I coul
Yeah I felt the same the last time

The DEI movement is suffering rather huge setbacks as the moment, so don’t think in terms of its being 2022 anymore.
