Associate got money, eh?
I use Vital Kitchen, though not a private chef, but they do deliver the meals to your door which reduces packaging waste that sucks from the shipped places.
Spend that money on some cooking classes
Just do hello fresh 🤦🏻♂️
My friend always reps Abe’s fitty foods, but I personally have never tried them myself!
I actually tried them a year or so ago when I was just trying to eat a little better! I really liked their food and thought they were very affordable for what all you get. The food tasted great as well, it wasn't dry at all. Definitely worth trying atleast once.
So recommend getting a lower wage worker that can read and just order a boxed service (hello fresh for example) and have them do this every day. This is what we do for my family of 5. Real private chefs that are qualified are actually expansive. My lady cooks for us, does laundry and housekeeping as well. Game changer
How much do you pay for her and how did you go about recruiting him if you don’t mind sharing?
I couldn't help but giggle at the above comments, but I don't blame anyone who can hire a private chef to meal prep for them. I mean, seriously! I've heard some people talk about Maria's Gourmet Kitchen. I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for, but that's what came to mind when I saw your post. Good luck finding someone! :)
I know Central Market hires a lot of people from Le Cordon Blue. I think you can approach them (Especially the ones in the grill section) for a side gig and they will be happy to make that extra money.
Oh you got money money, OP. Lol. Anyway, I found @toostuffedkitchen on instagram and thought this might help.
Use Factor…
Friends that Cook does this service. They cater to what you want to eat, grocery shop, and then cook all meals for the week in your kitchen in half a day, package it all and clean up. I use a woman (former head chef at River Oaks Country Club, lots of cooking education, etc) named Chef Lucy. She’s fantastic and can cater to any diet style. She cooks on her own then delivers all food to you once a week.
Both of these options are more affordable than regular takeout and delivery. Plus healthier.
Oh! I used to use this service. For my boyfriend and I, it was about $100-200 for groceries and $200-300 a week for 20 meals with 4 different varieties. I’m so jealous you got such an experienced chef! Ours was great but he was a new chef fresh out of chef school. I’m curious as to the difference in skill level.
I really enjoyed friends that cook. $55 an hour, 3 hrs minimum. The chef creates a menu for you weekly, but you can, of course, request specific meals. The chef then comes to your house once a week, does the grocery shopping (you pay), cooks, and cleans. I really enjoyed my chef— I never knew leftover fish could 1) not smell and 2) be so delicious as a meal prep. The only reason I discontinued his services was because I started intermittent fasting and it was just too much food for me. I kept having to throw away food and it was no longer worth it to me to keep the chef services.
There was a wait list when I first tried to sign up back in 2021. The company puts their chef through an extensive chef training school so they were short on staff.
I'm Nigerian Chef. Just incase you need that hot steaming jollof rice
I do not have a private chef but i do have meal delviery service: I love freshly and real eats. Also liked territory as well.
Congrats to you for being able to afford a private chef! If I could, I definitely would. I always say deciding and cooking for yourself multiple times a day in order to survive is one of the hardest parts of adulthood.
What about meal prep kits? I feel like that might be a good middle ground?
Ordinarily, I tend to agree, however a bit crunched for time lately. I settled on this service called "cook unity." Obviously not a personal chef but delivered to your door. I'll report back. Thanks all!
Chef Kief (https://keifscatering.com/) does meal prep and it’s sooo tasty. Definitely doesn’t skimp on the seasoning and some healthy stuff

I have a private chef I utilize often. DM me for details.
