I’m curious of everyone’s views on job hopping. I’m on my 3rd job and have ~3 years of sales experience. Each job change has been an increase in comp and has shown clear career progression. At this point I’m working for a well known public company in SaaS, in their SMB segment, which has been great. But I’ve been approached by a smaller startup offering to double my base salary, 2.25x my OTE, and equity for an enterprise rep position. This is very enticing, but would I look like a job hopper?
I’m thinking of leaving audit after my second busy season. My main interest in accounting has always been forensics /fraud . Also thinking of going the CFE route instead of CPA( did it a few times and haven’t passed ) but I pass the CPE reviews more. What position should I apply to or transfer into ? I am a director at KP, YOE consulting 12 years at 200K base 15% bonus: TD / RBC AVP, 160 - 170K Base 50% bonus + stock, etc. CPPIB D, 150 - 170K base 50% bonus CPPIB MD, 180 - 200K base 100% bonus (yes, 100%) Magna, MGR 175K base max SAKS Off 5th (US), D, 190K Base 15% bonus MLSE D, 140 - 160K, Kainos, architect, 190K base max. I ended up with a US based HR tech firm, Architect: 230K CAD 15% bonus stock options. Hope this helps!
