Hi! Does anyone know of any Public Health start ups hiring? I’ve worked for 2 start ups since 2020 but was laid off recently and I have been looking for a job since April. I have a masters degree in Public Health and 4 years of health education experience. I’ve been a deputy project manager doing hiring, onboarding, training and personnel management. I’m also bilingual in Spanish ! Trying to stay in a manager level role. Any help is appreciate!

If you are laid off for hours, what is a neural reason for saying that your employment ended? Especially if there is a month or two break in finding employment.

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? How do you feel about you are not progressing anymore and seeing other people progressing in their career? I have no intention to make partner, but still feel a bit stuck not doing that much.

I have not been on a project for over 3 months. Since I joined, I have been put in training. The training got extended by a month and now it's close to 4 months since I joined and without a project.

What should I do? People say that I'm lucky to get paid without doing any work, but it is stressing me out. I need the experience. The uncertainty is freaking me out, with rumours of layoffs and the certification program and all.

Intl Tax folks, how long did it take before you were confident in your role? I've worked for the past 3 years in a practice that is heavily consulting based (inbound and outbound structuring) and I feel like I'm only just starting to understand the foundational concepts (where I can explain them clearly to clients) and offering a shred of value. Then I'll have calls where partners discuss complex tax, legal, treasury and other related concepts that all go over my head.. it becomes overwhelming

I recently sign a lease. The apartment will put my security deposit into an interest-bearing account and requires me to fill out a form W9. I will join EY this June and just wondering if this is ok in terms of the independence rule. I guess the apartment will put my deposit in some sort of funds. Anyone with EY has experience?
