Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber

Was. It was a very long, stressful haul but worth it in the end. It just depends how badly you want to stay, but there is a light at the end of very long tunnel
Remember you aren’t totally trapped, if you can find someone else to sponsor you, you can move jobs (but also not a cakewalk, you have to go through the same market labour bs again), I switched after 3 years to a better situation though so it is possible. In total possibly the worst 5 years of my life but all worth it cause I’m now British and I love living in London! Good luck!!!
Why are you trapped? You’re not forced to stay anywhere. If one place will sponsor you, it’s likely you can find a new agency to sponsor you too.
Yeah I can attest to this. The amount of places interested in talking to / hiring you once you tell them you need a visa plummets…
Try to balance that feeling with your motivation to be in London. Is that tradeoff worth it to you? It may take extra time and effort but keep looking for other places to sponsor you. Whereas people not on visas may start looking for a new job 2-3 months ahead of when they'd like to leave, people on visas need to look much longer in advance.
I want to go to another country but finding it hard to find sponsorship. I'd be willing to downgrade in company culture and quality of clients for the opportunity. It's all about perspective I guess
Yep, I work in media buying, currently sponsored by my company and although I don't hate working here, it's just sad that I can't find roles in other companies due to sponsorship restrictions. I interviewed with Sky and even got a verbal yes from the manager and much higher salary than what I was getting paid. But at the end of the day, because they had to sponsor me, they decide they never called me back. By the time my current visa ends, I will have been at this company for at least three years. So hopefully I can get sponsored again for a few more years and then job hop as much as possible haha.
Could you guys suggest these companies that sponsor you to me? Or at least tell me how you did it. I've got a year left on my current visa, and if I don't find something soon I'll have to go back. I've also heard the process takes 6-months, which basically means I need to get a sponsor NOW. Please please help if you've got any leads.
