Have any respiratory therapists found jobs OTHER than being a clinical RT? I want to possibly change careers, but I am finding that a lot of jobs (clinical liason, utilization review, etc) want you to have a nursing degree, not a respiratory degree. I feel like as an RT we are limited to jobs.

Are others seeing their work slow down? It’s been a pretty dramatic halt for me. I thought maybe it was a me problem, but others in my group admitted they are also slow. I’ve been consistently 110-120% utilized, but I’ve only billed 22 hours this month. I’m in fund formation.

In developing a new PM department within a small Pharma company a colleague and I are trying to determine the best PM software/program to utilize. For reference we are steering away from MS Project and currently looking into Smartsheets. Does anyone have any other recommendations for a program they found useful? Hello, I am looking to make a career change that starts at a minimum 75K salary. The economy is tough right now and I can no longer afford to stay in my current role. I have a bachelors degree in Sociology with experience in managed care, utilization management, & clinical admin.. Does anyone have any suggestions for a possible higher paying career that I would be qualified for based on my background?

My practice for example - maybe I'm the minority here. But our MDs emphasized over and over again that it is their fault that we have no works to do. It's NEVER our fault if we have low utilization.

Ever see anyone get fired for low utilization? This dude in my group has around a 30% utilization while everyone else has 80 - 110% (I have 110%). A little annoying bc his lack of work is causing

I was thinking “how would you” = hypothetical

Senior audit associate here… I am looking for help in ideas to motivate the staff to perform better. Most of our staff appear to be treating their work as a mindless job and not a career. Most of them don’t appear to want to put into the effort to truly understand what they are working on and try to get better.
