In negotiation for a Manager Role for BNY Mellon (grade K). Looking for some guidance on how hard I can push the issue with increasing my offer.
My convo with the HR recruiter was that he would push for $130k plus a sign on bonus. Offer is coming back at $125k with no bonus. Exiting my current position I'll be leaving a 3% pay increase, $12k bonus payout next month and full remote work on the table. Those considered it would be a lateral financial move for the 2023 year.

If you are a non-equity partner and have a nice year, say a 7 figure book, how might a firm compensate you? Non-equity compensation is not really clear to me.

Today i received my first month salary and it is only 1.06 lakh.

If you have to pay back a sign on bonus do you get back the withholding on it when you file your tax returns? For instance if the sign on bonus is 10k, there si withholding on that. CPA laid off from consulting and started my own tax practice and working on tax returns. Recently I got some tax planning questions like whether the taxpayer’s new LLC should elect to be taxed as an LLC or S Corp. I basically gave free advice on pro and con, including employment tax saving consideration, etc. Do people give out free tax advices like this or do you charge? If the latter, how to price such consulting service?
