2 weeks for about 1.5 hours each day.
That seems really fast? Most people on r/PMP say they study for a couple months.
Did it 2 years ago, studied for a week.
Highly recommend the Rita Mulcahy prep book.
OP following this post. Also please provide tips that worked for you and the study materials. There are tons on Google and everybody says it's a difficult exam.
What material are you using to prepare
I took it back in 2010, but I did online courses through my company's learning platform (Skillsoft?) for about an hour per day for 2-3 weeks.
I would only do the PMP if you are interested in project management or do a lot of work with the government. It lends some credibility if you want to be a PM and it’s a requirement for a lot of government contracts, but otherwise, it’s not much use.
I did a week long boot camp class which was helpful, then studied for a few weeks on my own before taking and passing the test. I would recommend reading the Andy Crowe “How to pass on your first try” book and taking a few practice tests. Use the practice test to gauge where you’re at and how much more you need to study or if you’re ready to take the test.
