Anyone taking the CISA tomorrow?

Most South Asian names seem to be anglicized in the US. Since it seems inevitable, any new parents have experience with getting ahead of the curve & going with an anglicized version in birth cert?

So. MBA from a top 20 program (if that matters), working in the southeastern US with 10 years experience in private practice and hospital administration. Salary thoughts?

Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). I have a BS/MS/PhD in engineering and an MBA in business analytics. Currently making 100k as an engineer IV. As an engineer with a functional knowledge (but no former training) in IT and data analytics, what are the best avenues to get to 200k without changing fields and starting at an entry level position (or moving to a HCOL area)?

I am a Sales Executive with over 16 years over experience with FedEx. During the Pandemic I took a risk and moved to a different industry. Unfortunately my new company was greatly impacted by the pandemic and on Thursday I lost my job due to downsizing.
I have a great track record of success and sales awards in every position I have held. I also have an MBA.

To keep it general across tier 1 consulting firms...what would be the typical pay band for a practitioner with ~6 years experience and a MBA

I would like to transfer my career to Healthcare Data Analytics. I’m gaining my data analytics certification by the ending of November. I’ve also worked and still currently working for great healthcare company’s. I also have lots of great healthcare data experience. My only concern is no degree. What can I say to recruiters that will WOW them or replace the fact I have no degree because that’s what most of these company’s require.

Should I opt for online 2 yrs MBA from DY patil university? It is good or should I look for alternative. I am getting alot of calls from them. Please suggest. I have around 3 yrs experience in IT.

Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.

I wish I wasn’t adaptable. Humans aspire for a greater level of comfort and once achieved, adopt that as their new baseline. Because of this, somebody making $100k cannot simply comfortably revert back to a $50k lifestyle. The slow growth of personal wealth isn’t noticed as ideated. Instead, we are never satisfied.

Can you relate? Has your salary / net worth growth dramatically improved your quality of life?

How long is too long to take off from GMAT? Spent~8 months on it plus working while living alone and think it’s started to take its toll (panic attacks, etc.). Need to get up ~30 points or so and thinking of getting healthy/deferring application to next year.

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.
