PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart
I have an offer from Deutsche Bank, KPMG & Deloitte.
Keeping the package aside, which company is better in terms of growth, hikes, work-life balance?
Please share your inputs, its my first switch so I'm anxious about making the right choice. 😅

It's not a red flag at all. It's very common to be asked by HR on your expected salary even before meeting the team for interviews. It's annoying but definitely legal / common.

RED FLAG! RED FLAG! RED FLAG!
But then again, it's Goldman Sachs...'nuff said.
Good Luck!
Find that very interesting, because I was told it’d be a 2-4 month process and that salary negotiations are at the end, and they typically move fast but they like doing it at the end once they nail down who they want 🤔
I’ve gone through negotiations at the end and they were accommodating
Can happen either way - depends on the company and the specific process. I’m hiring for a director role where we have a tight budget and not a lot of room to move on the base salary; if we aren’t aligned on expectations upfront I don’t want to waste your time, my time, and the interviewers time. Other roles (based on level, time of year, etc) we may have more flexibility on, so will discuss ballpark early on but finalize at the end.
Do your reseach and give then a ballpark range to work with. Give you enough room to negociate up. Depend on what the job in the bank, bonus could represent a big part of your total comp.
Pretty standard
