Apparently there may be a dip on Inauguration Day just like there has been historically (JFK assassination but recovered quickly). Should I wait until Jan 20 to put 10K into various ETFs/stocks for that dip?

Don’t try to time the market

True words!

There "may be a dip" on any day. Dollar cost average if you're nervous.

time in the market > timing the market

If you think historically it makes sense and you’re mentally ok to wait it out. Should be fine. It’s all a personal decision whether to wait or to dump it all at once.

Other option is to DCA - buy in 2k a week or something instead of timing the market.

Good call, very true. Thanks!

I doubt that anything (stocks or otherwise) will follow ‘normal’ patterns anytime soon

Put a bit in before and a bit in the day of if you want and the rest after.

I think I’ll have to do that haha thanks!

Which ETFs do you plan on putting it in?

1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.
Any advice, thanks!

Just received 2 offers that I’m weighing, both in Advertising tech:
1. Smaller firm about to be acquired by a larger one, Product Marketing role (title would be Sr. PMM)
2. FAANG, Sales Account Manager role (similar to my current role)
I have 5-6 YOE and have been in an Account Management role for most of my career - is it worth making the switch to PMM at a smaller firm or sticking with what I know at a FAANG? Both would have relatively similar comp. Thanks in advance for your input!

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

I am worried to move it to fidelity or some other place and manage myself(not very confident), then I have to sell all of the Edward Jones managed funds and buy new. sell low buy low makes sense but don’t want to loose anymore.
