I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

EPAM all the way - top tier clients, good work life balance, good benefits, overall awesome experience esp if you want to work in advancing technologies. Probably the best consulting firm you’ve never heard of 👍
I know of an MD from insurance at Deloitte, she was let go and joined EPAM - given that they hired a 0 sales MD I would question why they would recruit sub par talent
M1 and M2, what's the catch? If such a big, fast growing company was so great, why isn't it better known? Why aren't people clamoring to leave mbb, tier 2, big 4 or Acn/IBM for it?
Because it’s not 50 years old. It started in 1993. Check out the growth story and stock growth over the last 3 years….gains gains gains.
EPAM culture is not great on the consulting side - we poached a lot of folks from Deloitte and other big firms and they have all left within a year. Depending on when you joined it might be getting a bit better. On the consulting side our turnover rates are pretty high
I can only tell you about EPAM, benefits are same as or slightly better than Deloitte.
Huh? Switched to EPAM a few years back and the benefits have nothing on Deloitte. The benefits at D are actually one of the few things I miss the MOST. Pay is better at EPAM if you have hot skills they want in consulting. Culture is pretty bad on the consulting side. Engineering side is different- I've heard it's a bit better

I work with EPAM as a services partner for mutual clients. Therefore take this as a limited view of their capabilities.
Much higher tech affinity + engineering focused on average when compared to big 4. I get the sense they dont work as many hours as big 4. Slightly less polished, more collaborative.
No idea what their pay or turnover looks like. Overall I actually prefer working with them as they are more technical

I should also say- honestly love working with them. Probably best experience of any services partner.
